Tea Party In The Forest

Gracie and I went camping last week
and while we camping we
had a little tea party.
Right there in the forest!
Doesn't Grace look like a sweet
little fairy tale princess?

Tea Time with Brilyn!

 Brilyn loves a Tea Party!
She picked out a pretty dress and hat,
so I thought it might be nice to
use a special tea set.
I filled the tea pot with Raspberry Tea
and set out treats!
 Brilyn served the treats.
She can be such a perfect little
lady when she wants to be.
We had a wonderful time!
But, Brilyn didn't drink much tea.
I think this tea set is a
little bit big for her little hands.
We'll probably go back to
the little cups next time.

Tea Party with Friends!

 After our Pool Party
we had a
TEA PARTY!
The girls had a great time!
(Pictured left to right - Grace, Kodi, Caelie, Kayli and Olivia)
We had delicious cookies and treats!

And BEAUTIFUL Cupcakes!
Kayli and Olivia loved the puppet show
provided by Kodi and Caelie!
The puppet show was
pretty cute!
This is Kodi - the talented Puppeteer!
And doesn't Olivia look sweet here?
She's such a delicate looking
little thing.
But - looks are deceiving. She's actually
a pretty tough and adventurous kid!

And I was so proud of Grace at our
little tea party.
We have been working hard on manners
and serving others before you serve yourself
is a REALLY difficult skill for little
ones to grasp.
Yet - Grace did it!
She also let others choose their
chair FIRST. And Kodi chose her
favorite chair. But - she did not try to
take it away. Then - Caelie chose her
second favorite chair. She did not try to
take it, either.
Then the little girls sat down and we
were all out of chairs.
Oh, no!
(We had only set places for 4 and Caelie dropped in and surprised us)
Where is Gracie supposed to sit?
I went upstairs and pulled another chair
from the studio!
But - I am very proud that Grace
was willing to give up her favorite
seat for a friend!

A Little Tea Party Just For Brilyn!

While her Momma was in the hospital
after having Asher, Brilyn needed
a little break.
So, I brought her to my house for a
nap, a bath and a tea party.
(this gave Momma a chance to rest, too)
But - since had been spending so much
time at the hospital, we had been eating
a lot of quick snacks.
So, I tried to make our tea party a
little bit healthy!
I opened a lunchable and arranged it on
a plate!
I put fruit in the top portion of
our favorite server.
(This server belonged to my mother in law who passed away just before
Grace was born. Using it often keeps her memory
alive. She would have LOVED these tea parties)
Brilyn  went for the cheese first!
She actually ate ALL of the cheese
and most of the meat.
She ate a good portion of fruit.
And she licked the frosting off a couple
of cupcakes!
I try to keep these ready made cupcakes
in my freezer at all times.
After all, you never know when
someone might want to party!

Tea for Three

 Grace wanted a candle lit
tea party, so I pulled out a couple
of candles.
(Now, I'm thinking I need new candles sticks)
The girls put on their dresses and hats
and had their tea.
I don't think little girls ever
get tired of tea parties!
I wonder how much Asher
is going to enjoy
hanging out with these three?

A Simple Tea Party

I try to keep treats on hand
because at any given moment
a precious little girl could
come over and want to have
a tea party.
Brilyn caught me with
no cupcakes in the freezer.
But - I had these!
 Little Debbie Fudge Cakes!
I took out a few cakes and cut them
into squares. They sliced up
nicely and looked really cute!
The teapot looks really cute, too.
Don't you just love the heart shaped lid?
I put Kool-Aid in the teapot because
I was out of tea.
But, I don't think it matters
much what I serve.
This little girl just loves
a tea party!
And I love HER!

A Good Manners Tea Party

The girls have been a little
lax about using their manners,
so we had a
Good Manners Tea Party
to practice "being proper."
Each girl started out with
3 clothes pins pinned to their
clothes. If they did something nice,
they got another one.
BUT - if they used bad manners
they lost one!
 Olivia drank like a puppy
and lost a clothes pin!
Grace used good manners and shared.
She served her sister nicely
and got an extra clothes pin.
She caught onto this really quickly!
One pin, two pins, three pins.... four!
Being nice gets you more and more!
They had such a good time.
Olivia didn't care that Grace had more
clothes pins. She was just happy to party.
But - Grace wanted to WIN!
She kept being nice and saying please
and thank you!
Olivia preferred to be silly
and blow bubbles with her tea.
She lost another clothes pin!
When Olivia was down to one clothes pin
she gave it to Grace and said,
"You win!"
She may not have the world's
best manners, but at least she's
a good sport!

And Grace was happy to be
the Good Manners Champion!

Hosting A Tea Party

Grace woke up and prepared a tea party
for some very special little guest.
She got it all set up while she
was still in her pajamas!
 And her guest arrived!
 Aren't they cute?
She poured fresh water into each of
their cups, yet, they still insisted
on drinking out of the same one!
Their manners need work!
But, odds are they will find their way
to the pond before they are
trained to be proper!
We are hoping they will decide to
stay at the pond and eat
whatever crumbs they are fed by
neighborhood children.
But first - they have to get big enough
to insure that they do not become
snake or turtle food!

New Tea Party Gloves

Look at Gracie's new Tea Party Gloves!
Aren't they just adorable?
As soon as she opened them,
she wanted to have a tea party!
 Olivia joined the tea party!
She got new gloves, too.
She just isn't wearing them because
her Momma packed the away
so she wouldn't forget to
take them home.
 Grace loves pouring tea in
her new fancy gloves.
She loves drinking her
tea, too!
What a proper little
lady!
(And thank you, Aunt Janice for the gloves)
