Grace to the rescue.....

 Oh, no! There's a moth in the

house.

Thankfully, we have a

kind hearted little girl

who will take it out and set

it free!

I love Grace's sweet

and caring side.

Making Bird Feeders

 Grace and Caelie are both nature

lovers, so while they were

both here, we fed the birds

and made bird feeders.

 To make a bird feeder you simply

spread peanut butter on a pine

cone and cover it with

bird seed and tie it to a tree

or something where the birds can

find it.

 It's simple, messy and fun!

And it's a good outdoor activity!

(when children are involved it can be messy, and 

messes are less bothersome if they are outdoors)

A White Lined Sphinx

 This moth is often mistaken for a

hummingbird. He flies fast, and flaps 

his wings into a blur and he really

does resemble one. I often call

him a hummingbird moth, but he

is actually a White Lined Sphinx.

He sucks nectar from the flowers

with his long straw like tongue.

And when he is not feeding, he

simply rolls his straw like tongue up.

I liked this photo, even though it's

not as sharp as it should be

because I had never noticed that

feature of the White Lined Sphinx before!

This is another creature that frequents 

our little butterfly garden.

Happy Birthday, Asher Gauge!

 

We've been blessed with

another grandchild!

ASHER GAUGE PATTERSON

was born yesterday

at 10:17 am

 

He weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz.

and he's 20.5 inches long. 

 Big Sister Brilyn

loves him!

She has probably kissed him

at least 100 times!

 He LOVES water! Here he is

taking his first bath with a great

big smile on his face!

 Just look how relaxed he is.

 He loved getting his hair washed.

 He's super sweet!

And very handsome!

 And we are thrilled to have him!

What a wonderful blessing!

I'm sure you will be seeing a lot more

of him on the blog in the months

to come!

 



Olivia Goes for a Ride!

 Normally, when I'm in the pool with 

the little girls, I am not able to get

pictures because I am too busy

looking after them.

 Olivia loves riding on my back while

I swim.... and I can hardly swim

and take a picture.

But - GRACE can take pictures!

She was playing with my camera, and when

I went to download the files, I noticed these.

She may just be a photographer

some day!
