Olivia at Swim Class

Olivia is taking swimming classes
at Ms. Jane's Swim School, too!

She can now float on her back
and swim without a floatie!
And - she's very brave
and can go underwater!

Gracie Down Under

 Just LOOK at this girl!
She's in a swim class this summer and
she is hoping to learn the strokes
needed to be on the swim team!
 She's becoming quite confident
in the water.
And I just love seeing her have
so much fun!

Tea Party Time!

 Brilyn had been talking about
her Great Grandma Darlene
a lot, so when she asked for a
Tea Party, I decided to use
Grandma Darlene's fancy china!

I prepared a very special tea party!
We had cookies and crackers and cheese...
 and cupcakes... and chocolate covered
strawberries and glazed strawberries
and bananas... and of course tea!
And Brilyn brought a little friend
along to celebrate with us.
Grandma Darlene's fancy china is
going to have some lovely
memories connected to it.
I just wish she were here to share them.
But - I'm also happy knowing that
heaven is a wonderful place.
A HAPPY PLACE!
And I'm sure she would be happy
knowing her great grand daughters
are enjoying her special treasures.

SWIMMING LESSONS at the ZOO!

 LOOK! That Momma and Daddy
elephant are telling their little
one how much fun swimming is
going to be! And look at that
one in front SMILING!
The water is nice... the water
is warm... just jump in!
The little one was hesitant so
that big, smiley elephant pushed him!

And that's how a baby elephant
learns to swim. And Brilyn and Asher
got to watch that whole
entire swimming lesson!
How cool is that?

A Favorite Attraction at the Zoo!

We love the lorakeets at the zoo!
For $3.00 you can buy a small container
of lorakeet feed - and they come right
up to you and eat.
 They're so friendly.
 They're even friendly with
one another.
It's one of my favorite
attractions at the zoo!
Probably, because SEEING is not
enough for me. I'm one of those
hands on people who just
have to be able to touch!

A Little Tea Party

When we returned from camp
the girls got to stay with me
while their Momma and Daddy
went to a home school convention!

And we found time for a few tea parties!
Gracie got this one all set up.
She even served us!
ALL of us! This is Olivia's little friend!
It just amazes me how much this
little girl is growing up!
All I'm needed for now is
washing the dishes.

The View From Our Tent

Isn't this just BEAUTIFUL!
This is the view we had
from our campsite.
I just love being out in
God's beautiful creation.
It's so peaceful and serene.
Plus - there is no cell phone
service so there are none
of the distractions of every
day life.
