Today is my husband, Speedy's Birthday!

The Petting Zoo

 For 50 cents you can buy about a tablespoon

of food for the goats from a

vending machine. The girls loved feeding

the goats.

 After buying food a few times we realized

we could go INSIDE the fence!

 So, of course, we needed more food!

 Both girls loved the goats.

The fed them, pet them and

hugged them.

I think they would have been content

to play with them for hours.

But - we still had more things

to see and do!



Feeding the Giraffes

 While at the Zoo we got to pet and

feed the giraffes.

 This one was really friendly.

 I think Grace and Olivia both

enjoyed this exhibit.

The giraffe's were fun to feed

and we learned that they will eat just

about anything green!

 





Camel Rides

 While we were at the zoo we rode

a camel!

 Olivia would have ridden it all by

herself if they would have let her.

She is not the least bit afraid!

Grace, however, needed someone to

ride with her. So I got to ride

the camel.

Both girls had a good time and

I think both of them would ride

again if given a chance.

Maybe next time, I won't be needed!

An Elephant Kiss

Just in case you've never

witnessed an elephant kiss...

this is what it looks like!

Now, maybe I can see

why Olivia likes these elephants

so much.

They do appear to be

loving and kind.

Olivia's FAVORITE Zoo Animal

 This is what Olivia wanted to see

when we went to the Zoo!

 She likes elephants.

She can even say elephant.

If they had elephant rides we would

have ridden an elephant.

Too bad they didn't. We'll have to

hope for that opportunity another day!

 But, we did get to SEE elephants!

 Olivia loved watching them.

She even blew them kisses.

 And the elephants seemed to know they

had an elephant fan watching them

so they did a few fancy elephant tricks.

They must have known we were

celebrating the birthday

of an elephant fan!

Olivia's ZOO Trip!

For Olivia's Birthday we went to

the Dallas Zoo! She liked walking

or riding on Daddy's shoulders.

Isn't she cute with her little

sunglasses upside down?



I think the view is better

from Daddy's shoulders

most of the time!

We saw lots and lots of animals!

This one looks like he's wearing

purple panties!

I'm not sure what my favorite zoo

animal is. But, it would

probably be from Africa!

 It might be a Cheetah. I think Cheetah's

are beautiful and I love the fact

that they are fast.

 It was cool out and I think that may have

improved our zoo visit.

The animals were all out

and they were playful!

 The lions even put on a little performance

by having a play fight or courtship ritual.

They made a lot of noise and looked

like they wanted to attack each other.

 I think we saw the entire zoo!

And we had a lot of fun.

I'll show you Olivia's favorite

animal next week

because there is simply not room

for all of our zoo adventures

on today's post.

But for now - I'll leave you with
