Remember this?

The playhouse they painted!

It's still here and it was still in good

shape when the girls were here.

 But - I think our playhouse days

may now be over.

It's sitting outside in the rain as I

type this. It's going to be mushy!

But - we really need our garage

space back, anyway!

 

Wildflowers

 I think I could turn these two

loose in a patch of wildflowers and they'd

be content all day!

 Grace especially loves to pick flowers!

 She's even careful to pick them with stems

all about the same length, so they

will fit a vase properly!

I love it that they are learning to appreciate

beauty at such a young age!

A BIGGER, Better Ball Pit!

 We've tried just about everything, but

I think we have finally found

the ideal ball pit!

It's an inflatable pool!

And it can easily hold 3 or 4 kids and

hundreds of balls!

AND - It's kid tested and approved!

(grown ups seem to think it takes up too much space and makes too many

messes, but then.... who cares what grown ups think?)

Two For Tea Plus Two More!

 These two wanted a tea party!

They sure did!

They told either Grace or Olivia.

And they told their sister.

So - both girls knew, but I

had no clue.

 But that's okay!

The girls got the tea party all set up.

They are tea party pros!

They know just how to do it.

And everything was just fine.

They even used Brilyn's blanket

as a tablecloth!

I grabbed some snacks and put some

tea and the tea pot and the

party was on!

Yes... that made those little

animals happy!

Of course, it did!

Smore's

It was too windy outside to

safely light a fire, so I let

Grace and Caelie make Smore's

indoors! Look how carefully

Grace is laying out her

supplies! I think she likes MAKING

them better than EATING them.



And... Caelie..... she likes

EATING them!



The POOL is OPEN!

 It finally warmed up enough that

we could open the pool

for Mother's Day weekend.

 Grace was soooooo ready!

Plus, Caelie was here to swim with her.

And we all know two kids in the pool

are more fun than one!

 Caelie tested out the slide, which is now

fully installed.

 It looks like it's working just fine.

 She went under and popped right back up

and swam to the side like

a champion!

And then, she ran in and got some

goggles so she could do it all over again!

Movie Night? OR Hamster Wheel?

 Caelie came over and we had planned

on a movie night!

But - the girls just could not settle down

for a movie. So, I taught them the

democratic process of VOTING!

 MOVIE NIGHT or HAMSTER WHEEL?

 The girls chose HAMSTER WHEEL

by a unanimous vote, so we went out

after dark and played!

 They had so much fun!

Even Olivia can crawl like

a hamster in a wheel.

For an inflatable toy, this thing

was pretty fun!



Grace and Olivia Visit the Ducks!

 I brought Grace and Olivia back with

me when I returned home and they immediately

wanted to go see their ducks.

 We counted the ducks....

ONE.... TWO..... Oh, No!

We're missing a white one?

We have no clue where it went, but there is

no feather trail indicating that

coyote or fox got it.

And we THOUGHT we were missing

Brilyn's duck, too.... but nope....

It just found a boyfriend and eloped!

It's now on the other side of the pond.

Olivia Riding Popcorn

 Olivia rode Popcorn, too!

She held on tight and kept her balance

just fine.

 Her Momma wanted to walk along beside

her and hold on to her to make sure

she didn't fall off - but Olivia didn't

REALLY need any help!

Just look at her!

She's a BIG girl now!

But, I'm sure she'll always be her

Momma's baby.

We Momma's try so hard to keep them

little.... yet, in the blink of an

eye they seem to grow up over night.

But - Olivia is a little cuddle bug.

No matter how big she gets, I hope

she never outgrows snuggling.

She's the snuggliest little girl I think

I've ever met, and I hope that never

ever changes.

Riding Popcorn!

 While we were at the ranch

both girls got to ride Popcorn!

 Doesn't Gracie look happy up there

on that horse?

I think she needs one!

She rode and she rode and she

rode. I think she and Popcorn

became good friends. She will

probably have to start scheduling

regular visits with him, now.

Two Little Cowgirls!

 I went to Texas to visit a ranch

with Grace and Olivia!

 They met a really nice pony

named Popcorn!

 He was so nice, he actually

tried to give Grace a little kiss!

And Olivia gave him one!

Isn't that the sweetest looking pony?

 

Brilyn and the Ducks!

 I took Brilyn down to the pond

to feed the ducks and we found them

resting on the bank with a few

new little duck friends.

The wood ducks quickly flew away!

 And when Brilyn got too close

for comfort... our ducks

swam away!

But, we poured them some

feed and they had gotten out of

the water and were eating it

by the time we made our

way back to the Razor. 

Pretty Feet

 Grandpa bought us some new nail polish

so the girls were excited to

try it out. It dries faster - but not

quite fast enough to prevent a toddler

from smudging it. However, we got

decent results.

Both girls wanted flowers - which is good, because

flowers are made simply by making dots.

I'm not sure I'm artsy enough for anything

more complicated!

Wildflowers

We've had such crazy

weather this spring that my

garden is not sure what

to make of it.

It's growing - but it's no where

near where it should be.

The WILDFLOWERS are just

now coming out in full strength,

so maybe that's a good sign.

 This is an Indian Paintbrush!

 It grows in single spurts or in

little clusters like this.

They're all over Oklahoma!

And I'm not sure what this is,

but they are all over here, too!

There is a field full of them just down

the road!

Guess What?

 This is my son, Billy and his

beautiful wife, Alyssa!

 They've been married just over a year

and now they're expecting!

 We've known for a while,

but I wasn't announcing the news

until after I saw it on facebook.

 But now... the news is out!

We won't know if the baby will be

a boy or a girl for awhile!

BUT - that makes two grandbabies

on the way!

Asher (Brandy and Andrew's baby) should

be here some time in August!

And Billy and Alyssa's Little One

should be here in November!

It looks like 2013 is going to be a

year of blessings for us.

And we couldn't be happier!
