Puppy Love

Brilyn loves Abby! She always has!
She loves her so much so that Abby
was her first word and she said
it when she was just
four months old.
(she says it twice here, with an emphasis on the "eee" because she
was calling Abby, "aaaa" until I started telling her it
was AaaaBeeee. Then she started over
emphasizing the "beeeee"... She also spoke much more
clearly when no camera was involved)
She loves her so much, she is sharing
her favorite blanket!
Because she knows Abby is tired and
she needs a nap!
Dogs like naps!
Toddlers don't!

But sometimes when they are really
tired and they've snuggled long enough
they do fall asleep.
Now - Abby gets to lay still and
quiet for a long time...
so her sweet baby girl
can get some rest!
What a good dog!

An Adorable New Dog Groomer

Abby is very much a girly girl. She likes
to be groomed.
And it looks like Olivia likes
brushing her hair, so these two are
a good pair.
Olivia is doing such a good job!
You can tell by looking at how relaxed
Abby is.

Abby's New Hairdo!

Grace is constantly wanting to fix
someone's hair.
She's fixed mine over and over
again, but there are times that I have to get
up and take care of things, so then.....
she finds a substitute!
 She fixes Abby's hair!
Abby is fairly patient even though
Grace sometimes pulls her tangles!
And eventually, all of the tangles are
combed out and her hair looks
beautiful!
See!
Gracie does a great job!
Now.... who wants their hair done?

Time for FETCH!

I was out watching Grace play in the dirt
when Abby decided it was time
for a game of fetch!
Grace was too busy.... so that left me to throw the stick!
And it was HOT so Abby didn't last long!
Eventually she decided a stick was more
useful for chewing!

There's a BABY in the house!

This poor girl has served as a pillow,
a step stool, a mop, a vaccuum,
a baby sitter...
AND
Now, she's a BABY!
Grace got into the drawer to get Brilyn
a pacifier and came back with
pacifiers for herself, Olivia and Abby, too!
It took a little convincing, but once Abby understood what
Grace wanted her to do, she was happy to
do it! Then, all 3 girls took turns
popping that pacifier into
the poor girls mouth and covering her
with a blanket!
She has the patience of a saint!
And I don't think I've seen these girls
laugh so hard! There must be something really
funny about taking your turn and
pacifying a puppy dog!
I wish I'd had video!

Pretty As A Flower In A Flower Patch!

While running around on the Razor on day we found
this pretty flower patch!
So... we had to stop for a few pictures!
Isn't Grace just as pretty as a flower?
I think she's the prettiest thing in the
flower patch!
But, Abby is pretty, too!

An Abby Sized Tent

Grace made a little tent. She can fit in it.... or Abby can fit in it.... but I don't fit! However, she did tell me that when I get little like her, I can play in the tent, too!

Taking Abby to the Vet!

While Grace was staying with me when her Momma was in Germany, we had to take Abby to the vet! Abby has been to the vet several times, but this was Grace's 1st visit! She enjoyed watching the vet take care of Abby and had several questions for the vet and his assistant.
Grace took care of Abby while I checked her in! It's nice to have such a big helper!
Abby was weighed. She weighed 8 oz. less than she weighed last year. Plus she is still wearing her seatbelt harness which probably weighs a pound or so, so she may have actually lost weight. She's slightly overweight - but not much. She's actually in very good health for an 8 year old and her teeth are in excellent shape!
And here the vet is looking at Grace who is asking questions! She asked what kind of animals they see and they told her that they see all kinds. Yesterday they saw a bird and a snake and the snake's owner wore it around his neck. Stacia, who works behind the desk had taken a picture of the snake with her phone and she even showed Grace the picture! Grace thinks it would be fun to be a veterinarian, but she doesn't want to get bit by tigers and things, so she might be something else.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see!
