Look Whose SWIMMING!

Grace can now swim without floaties!

She still LIKES floaties, though.

OR - she likes someone to

be ready to grab her just in

case she sinks!

This last visit she used a noodle

most of the time.

But - she would have me walk around

beside her while she swam quite

often, too. 

All she needs now is a little

confidence!



Summer Coming To An End

Summer is coming to an end!

We sill only be able to jump into

the pool and enjoy

splashing around for a

little while longer

and then it will be getting

too cool!

 So.... maybe we should just

enjoy ourselves while we can!

 And relax.... before fall sports and

activities get our schedules so full

we forget what the word

"relax" means!

Right now, I just want to live in the

moment.

Seeing neighbor kids that were not too long ago,

running free and enjoying summer

stand and wait at the neighborhood

bus stop...

And seeing parents post their

back to school photos

on facebook...

And knowing that for most,

those carefree days of summer

have ended...

makes me kind of sad.

So for now.... I'm going to pretend

it's still summer.

One more day at the park, one more day

in the pool, one more picnic,

one more weiner roast.

Hmmmm.... maybe I should even

turn up the thermostat

to make it seem REAL!

 

 

 

Somewhere..... Over A Rainbow!

 We had planned to go to the water park and

it was closed, so I set up a sprinkler beside

the pool and let Gracie have her own

little waterpark.

The water from the sprinkler created a

rainbow and Gracie got to pretend

she was climbing up and sliding

down.

See.... in the photo above she's

sliding down a rainbow!

 And I've always heard that treasure could

be found at the end of a rainbow.

Now that I've seen a rainbow up close,

I know that that is definately true.

Grace is a treasure, sure enough!

I wouldn't trade her for a

pot of gold!



Way, Way, Way Up In The Air!

 Gracie loves playing in the pool!

Especially when Daddy gets in and plays, too!

Here he is tossing her way, way, way up

in the air and she is coming down with

a great big splash!

What a fun way to spend

a summer day!

She can now slide all by herself, too!
