Do you have girls?
If so, I've found the perfect Christmas gift!
They're cute.... they're inexpensive....
and they're character building!
They're the
Each doll has a diary you can read
on line. Most of the diaries include
prayers and show how God
moves to answer them.
Some only contain stories about how
the girl did something to help
improve the living conditions of herself,
her family or others.
But - the stories could be used to teach
Geography. Missions. Perseverance.
Religious Differences.
(The Christmas Celebrations are different in different cultures and religions)
And MORE. Use your imagination!
PLUS - a portion of the dolls

and educate girls in the country of her origin.

And the dolls are not expensive at all.
And the dolls are not expensive at all.
For my girls, I am choosing the dolls
whose diaries I like best.
The dolls above all mention God
and honor God in their diaries.
I originally planned on getting one for
Christmas for the older girls,
but then decided I wanted
Brilyn and Olivia to have one, too.
They are really a little young, but
I'm not guaranteed another Christmas,
so I'll go ahead and give it to them now.
I am including with the doll a little
journal, so the girls can jot down
things they are thankful for, and a nice pen.
And a letter explaining why I chose this gift
and what makes it special.
I like the concept behind these dolls so
much that I'm offering one as a

As we are thinking of Christmas, one thing we also do with our kids is talk about St. Nicholas Day and celebrate it instead of Santa at Christmas. They get small gifts on that day that remind them what the real man did to look after and care for other. We also ask them to do one thing as a random act of kindness as a response to this. Thanks again for this giveaway. loriagalbraith at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteIf I win I will give this doll to my niece. :)
ReplyDeleteI am hoping my neices parent's will realize the value of this doll, and teach their daughter to give to others.
ReplyDeleteHi, Patty...been so busy unpacking things at the new house, I haven't been on computer much.
ReplyDeleteStill keeping my fingers crossed for the win. :)
Hope you are having a good week...
Hi Patty, I am saying a prayer for you this weekend! Thank you again for hosting this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteYou wanted to hear a bit more of St. Nicholas Day. He was a real man who lived in Turkey, to keep it as brief as I can- He showed God's love by giving to others. He had cloths made for the poor, as well as "ginger breads" and toys for children. There is a story of how one of his friends faced total financial collapse so his daughters would not have a chance to marry as they did not have a dowry, so he suck up to the girls bedroom window and through gold coins in their window. These gold coins are said to have landed in their shoes and stockings. So what we did on St. Nicholas Day Dec. 6th was give the kids their stockings and tell the story of St. Nicholas. In their stocking was always a useful article of clothing, a ginger bread cookie, a wooden toy, and chocolate gold coins. All symbols of what St. Nicholas did to show God's love to others. My kids loved it as Christmas always started early for them.
ReplyDeleteI love the details they have put into these dolls. For instance Nahji has a henna tattoo on her hand.
ReplyDeleteG'Morning...I wonder if Sept is going by as fast for you as it is for me. I can;t believe we are in the last week of the month.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the generous giveaway.

I have been checking out the diaries of the dolls. It will be a hard decision of which one to pick if I win. Thanks again for this giveaway.
ReplyDeleteWith thinking of Christmas now, are you doing any other preparations? I have actually put out my Nativity set! I enjoy putting thins where my eyes can remind my heart of the truths of God, and this is a start remember why we do this wonderful celebration!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this giveaway, it has brought me to think of a few things lately. Thinking of little girls who I know would love a doll like this, of a family I know that has a young boy, who although is not a girl really is a giving child who has given so much to his community at home and abroad.
ReplyDeleteI think your idea of adding a journal and a nice pen to this gift is a lovely idea.
ReplyDelete3 more days to go until a winner is picked! Thank you for the opportunity to enter.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! What a lovely gift and a precious toy for little girls!

I think I would choose the Del doll. Her mother models giving to others with the food she makes and distributes, and so does Dell in her knitting.
ReplyDeleteThank you once again for having this giveaway.
ReplyDeleteWeather I win this doll or not, I have enjoyed interacting with you on your blog! Blessing!
ReplyDeleteI love the dolls, they look like the brattz. :) I also like giving nice hand blown figurines as Christmas gifts. So far, they are liking it. Some even started collecting them. These artworks are timeless and gain more value in time. I buy my gifts online like ebay, Glasslilies and in art galleries.
