Don't you just love a delicious Poke Cake?
This recipe is a wonderful mix of old and new.
The oldness of a Poke Cake
and the newness of a Candy Bar!
To get started mix up your favorite Devil's Food
Cake mix and bake it in a 9x13 inch pan.
Then.... let it cool!
Once it's good and cool poke lots and lots of holes
in it with the handle of a wooden spoon!
Let it cool a bit more!
Then, when it's nice and cool pour one can
of Sweetened Condensed Milk over
the top. Spread it to where you can see it seeping down
into all the little holes.
Then... top that with about 3/4 of a jar
of Caramel Ice Cream Topping!
It should now look like this!
After that, you spread the caramel covered cake with
Cool Whip! Use the whole tub and spread it as
evenly as possible!
Then.... hand the spoon to your little
helper so she can lick it clean!
If, by chance she licks it completely clean and doesn't
seem quite satisfied, there might be a little more topping
on the inside of the lid.
Scrape it off with her spoon and let her lick
a little more!
Then top the Cool Whip layer with chopped
up Snickers Bars. I also added a few Toffee Bits to
mine because I like Toffee.
(be sure to allow your helper to taste test any toppings you use)
Drizzle the candy covered cake with the remainder
Caramel Ice Cream topping!
When your cake looks like this!
And your helper looks like this!
Now.... store your cake in the fridge
until ready to serve!
